The Big Waters - Natural Wonder and World Heritage

This region covers three provinces: Misiones, Corrientes and Entre Rios. The more developed tourist centre of the area is Iguazú.

Misiones shares with Brazil the National Park Iguazu, where the Big Falls are, Magnificent, exotic and adventurous waterfalls, surrounded by exuberant vegetation. More attractions and services can be found, such us semi-precious stone mines, Jesuit Ruins, high quality hotels immerse into the nature and several options for an unforgettable stage. For nature lovers there are different activities: bird-watching, ecological train trips, moonlight walking tours and the incredible experience of getting close to the Devil’s Gorge, the most impressive fall.

The Ibera marshes is one of the largest moist soil areas in the world. It is one of most important drinking water reserves in the continent. It is the largest protected area in Argentina. The Natural Ibera Reserve, home of a significant variety of fauna, is a natural paradise unique in its type.

It shelters the four animal species called the Province ´s natural monuments, that is: the river wolf, the “aguará guazú “, the pampas deer and the marsh deer. It houses the two alligator species existing in Argentina, the black one and the golden-colored one. Its ornithological wealth includes 350 different bird species. The Ibera lagoon is the epicentre of the reserve in which wild fauna-watching is beyond comparison. The Ibera Reserve is currently one of the most important wild life havens in the world.
